Who is Sarz?
There is a certain amount of mystery surrounding the legend-in-the-making Trybe Records producer despite producing a variety of hits in 2011, from Skales’ “Mukulu” to eLDee’s “Wash Wash” to Reminisce’s “Kako Bi Chicken”. With his production on Wizkid’s “Dance With Me” currently receiving heavy rotation, and only a few days removed from Don Jazzy humbly passing his 2012 NEA Producer of the Year Award on to him, we get to meet Sarz as he discusses his influences while some of the hottest producers in the game discuss his impact on them and production in Nigeria.
Despite reknowned success for his production with a multitude of artists, Sarz’s versatility was most notable recently on eLDee’s critically acclaimed Undeniable album as he crafted the club hit “Higher”, street-anthem “Wash Wash”, and wedding song “Today Today”. Sarz is currently readying his own producer album under Trybe Records for 2013 with a multitude of high-profile features expected.

After signing with Trybe Records in July, Rukus finally takes a break from the hectic schedule of an Olympic Tour in the UK, appearance at the NEA Awards, and studio time in New York, to drop a freestyle for the fans and talk about what’s next with his music.
The Lagos based rapper’s buzz has climbed steadily since his fan favorite Enigma rendition, head-turning Jimmy Jatt Jumpoff freestyle and his blazing verse on a recent collaboration on Basketmouth, eLDee, and Wizkid’s “Where I’m From”.
Rukus is currently recording new material as he readies his 1st single for release before years end.

Fresh off her performances on Trybe Records’ Olympic tour, Aramide releases a viral video for her cover of eLDee’s hit song, “Today Today”.
After wrapping up a session at Iman Studios, Aramide shows off her prowess on the guitar and unique vocal style for some of the Trybe crew with a bold spin on the hugely popular song; only a keyboardist accompanies her as she sings while handling guitar duties in this primarily acoustic rendition.
The video highlights one of Aramide’s many gifts: the ability to bring music to its purest, simplest form. She ups the level of sentiment in this pop hit, shedding the instrumentation and party-feel of the original, and smiling through a rendition that feels intimate and personal.
With her new single already recorded and the anticipation growing, the talented songstress who is signed to Trybe Records is currently readying her debut album. In the meantime, watch, enjoy, and s.h.a.r.e.

With a career full of numerous accolades, not too many heads turned when the legendary Don Jazzy nabbed Producer of the Year at the 2012 NEA Awards. But in a move that cements his legacy as one of the most humble and selfless entertainers in the industry, Don Jazzy presented Trybe Records’ super-producer Sarz with his NEA Award stating that he felt Sarz deserved the award following a standout 2011. Among Sarz’s recent hits are eLDee’s “Wash Wash”, Wizkid’s “Dance With Me”, Reminisce’s “Kako Bi Chicken”, and Skales’ “Mukulu” just to name a few.
Trybe Records would like to say a huge thank you to Don Jazzy for his continued support of young and aspiring talent.
Trybe Records‘ crooner and Top Talent Season 1 Winner, SoJay, gives fans a glimpse of his vocal abilities with an impromptu cover of “Let Me Love You” while hanging out in Iman Studios. After already wowing the Trybe crew with his vocals a few minutes prior, when SoJay offered to sing another classic, K9 rushed to play the keys, and eLDee, Sarz, and Rukus quickly grabbed their iPads – each with their unique angle of SoJay’s stirring rendition.
After winning the 1st edition of the Top Talent competition, SoJay has already shown his vocal prowess with prominent features on eLDee’s Undeniable album; both his memorable verse on the club hit “Higher” as well as the ultra-smooth ode to hard work on “We Made It”.
